What a week! We’ve been so busy, this blog will just capture the highlights of our week at Disneyland!

SUNDAY -
~Set up Camp at Anaheim Harbor RV Park, just about a 1/2 mile walk from the front entrance, very nice place! ~Walk over to get our bearings and stroll Downtown Disney ~Checked out Disneyland Hotel and dine at Trader Sam’s

~Had Beverages inside - fun and full of lots of surprises (I don’t want to ruin anything for you, but be sure to order something named after a volcano!)
~Dined outside under Tiki Torches, listening to Polynesian musicians ~Watched the Fireworks from right outside the rig! ~Priceless!

MONDAY - ~Dan hangs out at MAGIC KINGDOM all morning ~I go on “WALKING IN WALT’S FOOTSTEPS” private tour ~Our guide tells stories and history of Walt’s Disneyland and we hear some of it in Walt’s own words. We go on a few attractions as a group (we head in the exit!)

~The end of the tour takes us to WALT’S PRIVATE APARTMENT We were only allowed one photo, but it was magnificent. You could really feel Walt’s presence!
~Tour ends with a lunch

~Two of the women I walked with were sisters. At one point they casually mention their grandparents were at Walt & Lillian’s anniversary party at the Golden Horseshoe in July, 1955, 4 days before the opening of Disneyland. They also said their grandparents were at the opening, as well. I asked who were their grandparents - ROY ROGERS & DALE EVANS
I was on tour with RR & DE Granddaughters !!!!!!
~Caught up with Dan and headed straight to CARSLAND!

~CARSLAND was amazing. So many things we had already seen in real life on ROUTE 66!
~ I told everyone we had just finished the day before! One cast member heard this and using some pixie dust, led us straight to the front of the line for Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters!
~The rest of the night we used our Fastpasses to ride several more rides
~Stayed till near closing, headed to bed, and .....
TUESDAY - FRIDAY
~We had 5 day park-hopper tickets and utilized our Max Passes to reserve times for major attractions.

TUESDAY
We hung out at MAGIC KINGDOM, and met MICKEY MOUSE!
We ended the night using our dining package for FANTASMIC, giving us front row center for the truly amazing, magical show, followed by the fireworks. I cried my eyes out at the end!

WEDNESDAY
We went to DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE, and rode my favorite ride “Guardians of the Galaxy”, with lot of drops and lifts in the dark. Ended the night with our Dessert Package. Bob, the manager really liked Dan & I and the fact we just finished Route 66, and rewarded us with the BEST seat to watch WORLD OF COLOR!
It was beautiful and mesmerizing! The cheeses, fruit, and desserts, along with beverages were tasty, too!

THURSDAY/FRIDAY
We just took our time and strolled through both parks, enjoying meals, people watching, rides, attractions & shows! Ended Friday watching the Fireworks from Main Street - the light show was amazing, the music moving, and there were several surprises, as well. I, again, cried my eyes out!

SATURDAY
We relaxed at the campground, did laundry, cleaned the rig, went swimming, took naps, and then headed back to Downtown Disney
~Met up with some California relatives for drinks at Trader Sam’s
~Dinner
~Toured Disneyland Hotel Towers
~And again, enjoyed the Fireworks from right outside the rig!
SUNDAY We began our journey homeward bound - heading Northeast, leaving Southern California behind (but not forever) for yet another adventure.
