The Road to Vegas (and back on Route 66)

Yes, we completed Route 66 last week, however, we missed a very small portion and two towns along the route.  The reason was we shot southward to Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs.  However, on our way out of the LA area, we were once again on the Mother Road.

Newberry Springs, California Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch, and off the beaten path, and in the distance, a weird

spaceship-shaped house in the middle of nowhere, very eerie

Into Nevada Immediately after you cross over the border, the casinos begin. One of them, Whiskey Pete’s had quite the roadside oddity: BONNIE & CLYDE’s DEATH CAR and the Shirt Clyde was wearing. Eerie, creepy, but very intriguing.

Then onto Viva Las Vegas! We got there after dark and drove the strip to check out all the NEON !  WOWEE!

Then headed to our campground at CIRCUS CIRCUS casino. Tomorrow - walk the strip!
