Santa Fe is but a memory as we head to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Old Town is the place to be.

We first visit The World’s Largest Rattlesnake Museum. It is an animal conservation museum. There are many snakes, plus some other reptiles, too. There is a lot of snake related memorabilia, as well. At the end, we both received a Certificate of Bravery! We highly recommend! Two fangs up!

We then went to one of the country’s oldest churches, San Felipe, built in the 1700’s.

Around the square were several Native Americans selling beautiful sterling silver and turquoise jewelry. Guess who got a new ring from a Navajo artisan?

We left Old Town and headed to Nob Hill. This is home to two very unique homes. The first home was built by one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s protégés. It’s shape...a spaceship! Next door is a very angular home. These houses were out of this world!

We were looking for a farm to table restaurant and found Pueblo Harvest. It is owned and operated by the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico. Their slogan, “Native Sourced, Pueblo Inspired.” The dishes offered are from times of pre-European and post-European contact. The food was delicious.
A quick sleep at the Albuquerque KOA campground.
Next up, Gallup, New Mexico - “the Heart of Indian Country.”
