Today we leave the eccentricities of Las Vegas and back out to nature. We are no longer on The Mother Road, but enjoying Mother Earth.
Wow! What a diverse change in scenery. No longer crowds, high-rises, neon, or glitz....now it’s open road, open space, mountains, mesas, fields, basins, cliffs, natural tunnels, rocks, desert, sand, and sky!

We leave Nevada, drive about 30 miles through a corner of Arizona, then head into the Bee Hive State - Utah!

We head to Zion National Park. There are steep red cliffs, green forests and the Virgin River. We travel through a dark, mile long tunnel, check out the Checkerboard Mesa, see a herd of bison and some deer along our journey. Zion is incredibly beautiful!

As we leave Zion, we head from oranges, reds, browns, and rust colors to pine green forests dotted with junipers. There are white cliffs, green hills, and red mountains along our journey.

We cross through Red Canyon and into Bryce City. Here we set up camp and await for morning to venture into Bryce Canyon!
