And so it begins:

We started the first leg of our Route 66 trip on Thursday. I picked Robin up from the last day of school, and we headed to Grand Rapids to visit Jake and Brock before we're gone for most of the summer. You may have noticed we got some tutoring on how to get our social media presence established.

We will be leaving the Grand Rapids area Friday morning, headed for Chicago and the start of Route 66. We plan to post here and on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

For those of you who have expressed concern about the security of our house while we're gone, rest assured that it will be occupied and monitored more than when we're around.
